why the corporate world has not adopted RSS for internal communications (viz. broadcasts)… well the reason might be as simple as difficulty in getting people to look away from their email clients or lack of content.
I can very well see an effective application of RSS for the communications bit of Project Management - Review Notifications, Meeting Invitations, Events Calendar etc. One advantage over using email definitely is that it will be the receiver’s responsibility to receive the communication instead of sender’s responsibility to make sure that communication has gone to every stakeholder and that somebody important has not been missed out.
PS: I am a regular user of Bloglines and though MacUser has selected Google Reader over Bloglines as the reviewer prefers the Google Reader interface, I prefer Bloglines (because of its interface).
